Fleur is one of the new breed of jazz singers who, having initially trained classically in voice and trumpet, later found her true passion for jazz. Fleur provides a modern take on Jazz Standards, American Song Book and Latin numbers, as well as original songs composed by Fleur and friends. Her influences spanning jazz, soul and blues genres, include Carman McRae, Shirley Horn, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Chris Connor. Fleur is known for her scat singing, colourful tones and passionate interpretation of lyrics.
Performing around the UK with her band and as a soloist, Fleur provides music for many different types of events including functions, private parties, weddings and festivals, entertainment venues and has performed at acclaimed jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Bar and Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho. Fleur is privileged to be a student of The First Lady of British Jazz, Claire Martin.
